Applying the labels is a breeze! Simply peel and stick them onto your bottles or jars.
However, for the best outcome, you may consider the following tips.
1. Measure your bottle
Every bottle is shaped differently. The straight part of your bottle should be taller than the label to prevent wrinkling.
2. Deciding whether to remove original labels
For the best results, we recommend removing the original labels whenever possible. However, if the original labels are smaller than your new ones or are difficult to remove (e.g. plastic labels on plastic bottles), you can simply cover them with your new labels. Please note that our waterproof labels are not block-out labels, so they may be slightly see-through.
If you'd like to remove the original labels, you can fill a sink with room temperature soapy water, ensuring it's just above the top of the label. Avoid using hot water as it might impact the taste of your wine. let the labels soak for an hour, then peel them off. You can use a scrubber sponge or alcohol to eliminate any remaining glue.
3. Apply the new labels
Dry the bottles completely at room temperature. Lay the bottle on a table, hold the sides of the label, and gently apply a small section of the center to the bottle when it aligned, then press the rest of the label onto the bottle. Avoid peeling and reapplying, as the ink may come off if the vinyl label is stretched.
